Personal Information Collection Statement

It is the policy of Carbon Coins (“App”) to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Chapter 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong. Carbon World Limited (“We”, “us” ) strives to ensure compliance by our staff with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality. We now notify you the purposes for which the information is collected, what you are agreeing to with respect to our use of such information and your rights. We safeguard information provided by our members and website users. This statement may change from time to time, so please check back periodically. Each time a user logs in to this App and uses its services, he/she agrees to be bound by the statement in force at that time.

At the time of providing our services, you may be asked to provide us with personally identifiable information. It is necessary for us to collect your information for providing you the services. You are not obliged to supply the information here but if you fail to provide the information requested, we may not be able to provide you the services or assistance.

We will keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it is collected. The information you provide will only be handled by the authorized employees and persons of Carbon World Limited.

COLLECTION OF DATA

Users may be asked to provide with personally-identifiable information such as name, telephone number and e-mail address. This is necessary to provide the users the various services and activities offered on this App and member program. Users are not obliged to supply the data, but if they do not, the services and activities will be unavailable.

PURPOSE AND USE OF DATA

Information collected is used for the followings:

monitoring use of the App to help its further development;

compiling aggregate statistics about our users to analyze App usage;

creating accounts for users who intend to register with the services offered on this App and maintaining such accounts;

identifying and verifying identity of the users who used the services offered on this App;

researches and/or analysis by Carbon World Limited;

communicating with the users in respect of matters related to or arising from the use of the services offered on this App;

meeting any requirements to make disclosure under any applicable law;

providing information related to Carbon Coins including the privileges, benefits and other advantages from time to time offered by Carbon Coins or partners to User and rallying and arranging for the same to be provided (see also Use of Information in Direct Marketing) ;

any other purpose which an user may from time to time agree;

We also intend to use your name, contact details and the information as to the goods and services which you were/might be interested in, for delivering information that you may be interested in, such as targeted banners, new services and products and other promotions and marketing materials and conducting direct marketing including products, services, advice and subjects in relation to the followings: Hong Kong and worldwide properties including residential, offices, commercial and industrial buildings, shops, hotels, shopping malls and the events therein, property management, construction, insurance, financial services, telecommunication, information technology, transport infrastructure operations and management, port business, transport and logistics, waste management, educational, recruitment, reward/loyalty/privilege programmes, charitable and non-profitable causes. We also intend to, and in this regard if you consent to, transfer and provide the abovementioned information to the subsidiary and/or associated companies of us and the service providers through whom the products, facilities, services, privileges, benefits or advantages are provided inside and outside Hong Kong for the said purpose. We may not so use or provide the said information unless we have received your consent. Your consent may be communicated to us without charge at the time when you provide such information through our App or by writing to our Data Protection Officer.

TRANSFER OF DATA

User personal data will be kept confidential by Carbon Coins but we may transfer or disclose such personal data to our contractors under a duty of confidentiality to us who provide administrative, telecommunications, computer, data processing or other services to us in connection with management, operation and maintenance of the system with the purpose of personal data collection.
